We will establish MINFLUX tracking at synaptic sites and use it to study the diffusion of neurotransmitter receptors (AMPA receptors) with unprecedented temporal and spatial resolution. In addition, we will investigate the dynamic interaction between presynaptic release sites, postsynaptic scaffolds and AMPA receptors to uncover how neuronal activity coordinates their movements.
